Dental Practice Appraisals
Educating You on the Importance of Having a Current Appraisal
The most frequently asked question we receive is “What is my practice worth?” Without a proper practice appraisal there is no way to answer that. “Ball-park” figures are always an option but, would you buy or sell a home, car, etc based on a hypothetical value?
Your practice is a very important asset, treat it as such. The primary purpose for most dental practice appraisals is for a contemplation of sale. However, there are quite a few reasons regarding the importance of knowing the value of your business. Some of which include; financial planning, division of assets in divorce (our least favorite) and most importantly gaining knowledge and understanding of all financial aspects related to your practice. The process of gathering and organizing all the required items necessary to complete an appraisal can be tedious in nature but not only will you have a better understanding of your practice, should anything happen to you, you will have already completed the ground work for your family.
